Advanced artificial disc design helps restore range of motion
A new, improved disc – designed by experienced spine surgeons
Zimmer Spine and two accomplished spine surgeons, Christian Etter, M.D., and Othmar Schwarzenbach, M.D., have focused on developing an improved artificial disc system with simplified instrumentation.
The result is the Dynardi Dynamic Artificial Disc System – a new intervertebral disc prosthesis designed with increased range of motion and pain relief in mind.
Depending on the patient’s age and condition, artificial disc replacement may be the most promising option for treating degenerative disc disease in cases where the disc has deteriorated but the facets remain in good condition.
The goal of an artificial disc is to restore motion and return the spine to its natural physiological condition.

The moderately acidic composition of CopiOs™ Bone Void Filler (calcium phosphate, dibasic) creates an environment where an abundance of soluble mineral is available and osteoinductive BMP solubility is preserved. These features together with a porous collagen scaffold provide all the elements required to maximize the healing processes for bone production and maturation.

Spinal fusion surgery takes pressure off the nerves that are causing pain, by restoring the alignment of the spine or the space between the vertebrae, and then stabilizing and fusing the spine. The ST360°® Spinal Fixation System uses polyaxial screws and lateral connectors that reduce the potential for further back injury.

Spinal fusion surgery takes pressure off the nerves that are causing pain, by restoring the alignment of the spine or the space between the vertebrae, and then stabilizing and fusing the spine. The Silhouette® Spinal Fixation System uses safe, self-tapping screws that can be placed with fewer steps than other methods.
