This workshop will be conducted at the Department of Histology and Anatomy of the University School of Medicine Miguel Hernández of Alicante. Located at: Carretera de Valencia s/n, 03550-San Juan (Alicante), Spain.

Tuition Fee Includes

· Injected high quality cadaver specimens

· Use of microscope and microsurgical instrumentation

WORKSHOP DESIGN
This course is designed to teach neurosurgeons the intrinsic anatomy of the brain to assist in the removal aneurysms and brain tumours.


Objectives:
The emphasis of this Workshop is on microsurgical approaches to aneurysms and brain tumours.

Participants will develop an excellent understanding of:

- The application of Knowledge gained in the microsurgical anatomy posterior circulation aneurysm and brain tumours.

- Knowledge gained in the anatomy of the vertebral artery in the craniocervical junction and foramen magnum.

- Management of Ambients cistern and IV ventricle.

- Description and demonstration at different approaches to intracranial aneurysms and tumours of the brain.

- Discussion of tips and potential pitfalls during surgery of posterior fosse pathology.

-Demonstration of different adjuncts to the process of clipping aneurysms and removing tumours.

-Discussion.
